Boating in MD

Once considered invasive until a Cajun figured out a recipe to make them palatable. Now snakeheads are a protected species. F'ing l'tards.

Jay on another subject....we will be anchored out by the Jefferson Memorial for the fly by tomorrow by the the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. They are supposed to start their run at 11:45. If I understand their flight path....we should be able to see them 3 times.

Quite a few boats out. One neighbor from Marina went all the way to DC. We went out and made it almost to Gunston Cove, lost my nerve and headed back. The boat ran wonderfully.

I could boat in Pennsylvania if I chose to but I boat in Delaware. Delaware is allowing boating BUT they require all out of state residents and those returning to Delaware from out of state to self quarantine in their home, boat or RV for 14 days before venturing out in public. So that effectively traps me at home in PA as I can't take two weeks off before using my boat and returning home. I've talked to the marina and they feel it will be a normal summer for DE residents. I'm waiting until the lockdown order is lifted (if it is) on the 15th and see what's happening. If they don't open the state by early June, I may just forfeit my deposit and sublet my slip for the year and stay on the hard until next summer. Damn, I hate the way that sounds just reading it. Time will tell. One things for sure, the beach won't be the same if we can't go to restaurants, have to wear masks, can't gather in groups of 10 or more and can't go to the beach or boardwalks.

Maryland boating restrictions went away today as announced by Governor Hogan along with golf, tennis, and non-subsistence fishing. I don't see any DNR guidance as yet that amplifies remaining social distancing that will apply.
