Float switch not turning on

There is a float switch out side of the shower sump box that works when turned on manually but does not come on when the water level lifts it. Is this a fix or replace situation?

Check your wiring first it is pretty simple.

Float switches fail. It's an easily replaceable item. I usually keep a couple of spares on my boat.

They are cheap. Whenever I have tried to fix things like this, they work for a while and then fail again. Have learned to replace things that fail with new and be done with it.
