Title pretty much says it, who is sitting this year out on the hard? I'm still not sure, can't reach marina, maybe closed. Also, Delawre is closed to out of state residents until further notice, so I dont even know when I could get to put boat in let alone use it. I have to make payment or not in a few days. May opt to hold the money and wait til next year.

We are on lock down in NJ with only essential businesses open. I don't think I can get my boat launched and I don't think my marina is open. Hoping this will change by mid May

our seasons are way too short, expensive, and important for us to skip

as long as someone can actually splash it for us we'll be going in. We also have unbelievably high water coming into the great lakes again so we'll see how the whole thing plays out. My guess is a lot of social distancing on the dock and quiet nights on the hook. Not a whole lot of trips to other marinas

We may get a lot of S for living in Californitopia but year round boating is one of the few things that makes it bearable as a God fearing Republican. We have spent several days on the boat so far during this event and pretty much stay to ourselves rather than visit others on their boats.
Stay safe everyone and chins up!

I'm ready to go, My haulers says he can haul, The marina is closed! As soon as they open , I'm in. I paid for my slip back in December. If they don't open, I want my money back.

Too soon to tell. The boat normally comes out of the building May 1st and the marina normally opens May 15th. So we have time. What's not happening this year is our planned trip to Lake Superior. Our daughter, who always said she would never get married in the middle of boating season :) has been forced to move her wedding from May 16th to the end of July because of covid.

F that chit. During the 2008-2009 depression the boat saved my sanity.

Same here, I lost my job in 2008 and while I had to cut costs, I refused to let the boat go - it really was a big part of my salvation at the time.

I just talked to the owner at the yard where we store and launch and he said they're uncertain if they;re even allowed to be open right now. I'm not ready to go in so I won't push it but we'll see in a couple weeks once I have it polished and waxed. I'm going to do my normal routine and see what happens

The only way I'm not boating this year is if the Stay Safe order here in Michigan stays on all season. As soon as it's lifted I want to be in the the water ASAP. The thought of not boating this year,,,Well,,, I don't want to think about it.....

WA has a Stay Home Stay Safe campaign but IMHO (and unless someone directs me otherwise) we're going to be using the boat. We went out a week ago this past Sunday for our first cruise of the year.

The water gets turned on tomorrow so it's time to get the baby a bath. That's all part of the fun!

The boatyard where my boat spends the winter is open. I unwrapped Friday, hoping to be finished with polish, wax, bottom paint and launched by mid April.
I dock on my own private property, boat has Heat/AC, Stereo, Satellite TV, Fridge, Stove, Microwave, hot shower, etc..
The ultimate in social distancing!

I have to chuckle (sorta) how selfish we are as a society. Back during WWII, your family left to go fight for our country and there was a state of unknown for not weeks, or months, but rather YEARS! You had no idea whether your son or daughter would come back alive. Many times you might receive a letter from them, and during that lapse in time for delivery, they had already passed. Now we're in this COVID-19 pandemic for a whopping 2 weeks and people act like it's the end of the world because they can't get their boat in the water. Folks - hate to break it to you, but there are more important things in the world right now than getting on the water.

Absolutely. I'm not willing to endanger anyone's health to have my boat floating. I do however, desperately want my boat floating!

10-4 on that!!

We are fortunate to have what I am guessing are smaller marinas with less people. Not much as changed for us. Got a letter from the marina last week that said the office was locked and to knock if you needed something. Gas pumps and pump out is open. It said security would be patrolling the docks and gatherings of more than 10 people would be broken up the first time and if they had to come back, people would be asked to leave. We should practice the social distancing and observe the 6' rule. There are only 26 slips on our dock and this weekend, there were only 6 boats where people showed up. We had a great time. Never turned on a TV, went out for a slow, quiet ride on Saturday, and could almost forget about Covid-19....

Heck, I even use 12' rule as far as social distancing, but it's only the two of us on our boat sooooo, off we go saturday:D

Called the marina to get my boat ready for summer last week. The show rooms are closed and no sales. But, the service departments are open. I hope to get a call this week to come and get her. We trailer. So, we will finish getting her ready at home. Army corps of Engineers updated a previous statement that all ramps to lakes they control in Indiana would be closed. They now say all ramps are open. If I can get a day off work once we get her home, we will be on a lake.
