Help here please Trailer question

That trailer would be overloaded. Your boat full of gas water and the other stuff you put in it would be close to 6500 lbs. plus the trailer probably weighs around 1000lbs. That’s 7500 lbs on a 6000 gvwr trailer. Also it doesn’t have brakes. Any trailer with a gvwr of 3500 lbs or more requires brakes. It even says not equipped for Highway use. I would not haul your boat on that trailer.

I completely agree with Maggie. That trailer is undersized to haul you boat.

Add at least about 1500 to your boat dry weight. Find a dual axle trailer with a brake system. Change the cheap Chinese made tires (and spare) to Goodyear Endurance of one load range higher than the trailer calls for. Have the trailer tires balanced (the tire shop guys may look at you funny). Finally, crawl up under your tow vehicle and make sure your factory hitch is rated to handle the total trailer weight and tongue weight of your boat/trailer combination. I have seen some pretty thin hitches installed on trucks. If you need to upgrade, etrailer has some pretty good options. Boating is awesome when you can make it to the water.

Good luck. Feedback is cool. Let us know what you end up doing.
