looking for a part number for the damper/drive plates for a 5.7 Merc MPIs w/ Hurth v drives. Called 3 different shops and got three different style plates. I took the peep hole cover off and I have the star style and they keep giving me round style numbers. Has Mer changes the OE part???

Thinking about tackling my risers / manifolds and Trent coolers with my buddy who has been a mechanic for many years... (diesel, train, and car mechanic) yes I know not a boat... not looking for negative feedback but rather helpful feedback on how long you think it should rake to do this on two 6.2s....and any advice ....

Thank you in advanced for any positive feedback.

Grosen - I just did mine with a friend that had done 5.7s before. I have 8.1s with Bravo IIIs. More room to work than with v drives. Took us one morning (bout 5 hours) to take everything off and get it cleaned up and ready for replacements. Then bout the same time to get it all back together and tested and re torqued.

Did you ever finish the upgrades/reupholstry?

Here are the first pics of the new seats

Should be done in 2 weeks. As soon as it comes out of storage - and COVID-19 allows us to go there
Install all new fridges, GPS, Audio, Video, Bottom Paint, Restripe, Radar, TV, Teak Stairs, Carpet and a bunch of mechanical upgrades including new props and shaft - VERY EXCITING!

I went on their Facebook page thanks to your pictures, they do awesome work.
I wish I’d lived closer to them...
I've always wondered how would a job like that cost to redo my cockpit with 2 toned colors and diamond stitches.

Do they do work if you send them in your stuff? What did they charge you for that seat?

Looking to install a separate GPS unit and utilize my raymarine split for radar only my question is if I take out the big square depth finder can I use that transducer hole for the New GPS?? Has anyone done this or something similar ??
TIA

She is fantastic and has an unbelievable attention to detail and design element to her work -
She is redoing all the upholstery in my entire boat - cabin, cockpit etc.. and all the bedding
Go to her Facebook page and IM her - she is super responsive - tell her we talked (Steve Sanchez) - I have been very happy with her - and send everyone to her... https://www.facebook.com/Interiors-by-Dawn-120230731363924/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

I'm not understanding your question. New GPS units have the GPS receiver/transmitter built right in them. Now if you want depth you will probably need to replace the transducer that works with your new MFD. Good luck on getting the old one out. Mine was only accessable if I removed the starboard transmission. Ended up putting it in a different place.

My marina provides excellent internet signal for an extra $35/month. I had installed a 30" smart tv in my cockpit a few months ago. Before all sports were cancelled it was a great place to sit at night and watch a game with a cocktail. I just finished replacing the 26" LG tv that came down in the cabin of my 06 320 Sundancer with a 43" smart tv. Love ROKU. It makes the cabin seem like a home theater now! We watch movies at night now down there. I am attaching a few pics. I didn't document the whole process but it was just taking the "frame" off, removing the tv and tv mount and the two pieces of wood that were used to hold the frame on. Then I used a new flush mount and moved the one light switch directly under the tv so I could still access. Very easy. Took probably 30 minutes or so. Very good look.

Welcome to the forum...you will find lots of good idea's and ways to save money here.
BTW I stayed in Dana Point late February at the hotel right alongside the marina...Really nice spot! I was impressed on how many boats they fit in there.

thank you.

Hi everyone. I've been reading this thread from the beginning and enjoying all of the great information in here.

One question. After a rain I get a little water in the bilge. Not a lot, but enough that I need to suck it out with the shop vac from time to time before it starts to smell.

Anyone manage to keep a bone dry bilge? Wondering if it's possible on the 320.

Mine is bone dry after a rain. I did have a water leak after a rain and found the hatch hinges that are exposed on the outside, the bolts werent sealed around. The water would Pool around the hinges and drain into the bilge

Good to know that it's possible, I'll check those. Thanks.
