i read a forum thread that is several years ago recommending Sea Briten non skid deck cleaner and wax still the best option for cleaning non skid deck areas

Thanks.

I went to Shurhold’s web site and bought the “waxing” brush that fits my buffer it works great on the non skid

Once you get the nonskid clean, I’d suggest you try Woody Wax on it. I’m convinced it’s the best and I’ve tried lots of different products. Only on nonskid though!

Does it only fit on their machine?

I think he means the yellow one. I have the yellow one and have had it about 4 years. I have used Shurhold’s Pro Polish with it with great results on non-skid. The brush fits the Shurhold Orbital Polisher. It does a good job. Going to try it with the Starbrite Non Skid Wax very soon.

See I struggle with Woody wax.... I got a lot of mildew specks last summer and I used Woody regularly... my best results was actual wax

Regular wax on the non skid and regular washings with a good boat soap that contains Carnauba work well for me.
I was a Woody user for a while a few years back, but switched up my routine.

What do you folks do to clean/compound/prepare for the brush/wax? I now have the Shurhold yellow brush and PRO Polish, I want to make sure I prep correctly before I use it. I was thinking a cleaning then compound with the brush, then apply the pro polish with the brush.

Found this video, looking for a shortcut if it exists:

Do you have the Shurhold polisher?
Looks interesting

I have used the Shurhold process in the past with good results. What I have found that gives equal results is the StarBrite Non-Skid Deck Wax. I take a scrub brush on a handle and scrub the non-skid with StarBrite non skid deck cleaner. Let it dry. Take the Non Skid Deck Wax, spray it on, use the Shurhold Yellow wash brush to spread it, and then wipe any excess with a bath towel. I can do all of this standing up is the best part!
