Jon,

The RAL color match code system is not commonly used in the US. I used it in a former job because we sourced equipment globally. To get the color of your gelcoat you need to contact Sea Ray with your HIN, from that they can give you their gelcoat part number for your boat. I can tell you if you had a white hull with brown helm, the odds on favorite would be Arctic White and Zephyr. Problem is there are about six versions of Arctic White, hence the need for part numbers. There is a gelcoat supplier in Washington State (Spectrum Color) that is pretty much the go to for Sea Ray gelcoat. Once you have the numbers they can provide the gelcoat. Being in the UK may be a complication, but they may be able to help with a local distributor.

Jon,
Wait, I just re-read your post. What I told you above is correct for gelcoat. Do you have actual paint on your hull? If so, Sea Ray does not paint hulls. However, some of the early darker colored gelcoat hulls had fading issues in the gelcoat and someone may have painted it. If that's the case you are in new territory. In any event contact Sea Ray and they can confirm what color the boat was when it left the factory.

Got a question - I have white base gelcoat and need the other colors to tint so I can get Arctic white to spray a panel on my 220 sundeck. Anybody know the color breakdown? Nobody wants to sell a pint
Thank you

Re-read post #2. Get the numbers, call Spectrum color, buy a pint of colored gelcoat that matches your boat, prep and spray boat. Problem solved.

thanks Henry, guess I was just looking for the additive color breakdown to make my own antique white out of the gallon of white base I have. I’ll try on my own but good to know spectrum sells pints. Thanks
