Interesting article on sea sickness .....Have you head of this?

On a side note, I get sea sick, badly. The only thing I have found to work is this thing called a relief band. They have two versions and I have only used the older one. But it tricks your brain into not worrying about the motion. Feels like your hand and wrist is falling asleep, tingling sensation. It does this randomly and for some reason it works. $99 for older style and the new Premier one that looks like a smart watch is $199. www.reliefband.com

We went sailfish fishing out of Islamorada. After staying up until 3am at the local establishments, we woke up at 6am to 30 knot winds directly from the south. They produced 6'-12' seas.

As we were getting sick over the side of the 50' Hatteras, the Captain gave us some advice on how to get rid of sea sickness. He said, "Hug a Coconut Tree".

I have puked more times in Islamorada than I want to remember! Our boat is named Lor-E-Lei for a reason... I prefer to ride out the big swells at the pool bar at the Cheeca Lodge.

Try the Columbia Bar at the mouth of the Columbia River between WA and OR. Been in the Gulf and Atlantic 1,000 times and never an issue. Went salmon fishing many years ago and though I never threw up, it was one miserable feeling....

I consider myself to have some pretty good sea legs, but everyone else was doing it, so I thought I'd join in. Only once though. I wasn't sure if i was uncomfortable because of the motion sickness, or that I had 3 hours of sleep and about 20 beers the day/night before. I certainly don't stay up late like that anymore. The 20 beers part.....eh..maybe:). This was 11 years ago when the Vikes had Brett Favre, and we were going to the Super Bowl......not
