I dont blame the democrats or the republicans. I blame China. This is becoming a repeat offense with them. I dont want to see anybody lose a loved one or the clubsearay classifieds filled with half off boats......Do i believe this is overhyped? Yes, but thats just my personal opinion, doesnt mean squat.

You have a communist country as our trading partner what else do you expect. There are no health and safety standards they lie to the world over how many people had COVID-19 and how many died. It will happen again and again and again.

I don't think it is over hyped. The world is at 3 to 4% for death rate China reported a death rate less than 1%. Who do you believe.
 
I think there is some over reaction but I think the main problem is with the outliers. The general population will likely be fine (I say this because we don't know how bad it might get but the majority will feel like crap and get over it). The outliers (those with existing health issues and the elderly) are the ones that need to be extra careful. So over-reacting in terms of the masses, yeah. Over-reacting for the ones that are more vulnerable to this? Not at all.

I wish I could afford to get on my boat and go to a secluded spot for a few months and not be around anyone....lol. But then again I feel like that alot, even without the coronavirus going around

That we could have an exchange about this topic, that is meaningful and beneficial to all.

At this point, the politics do not matter. Start up a thread about the political perspectives, have the discussion there.

Keep an exchange where we all benefit from those that have direct knowledge and experience.

Nixon played the China card to offset Russia from a foreign policy standpoint. Clinton allowed them into the WTO which is when we lost manufacturing.

Manufacturing was losts because of companies wanting to make a greater profit. They didn't care about China or the USA for that matter it was all about profit.

China joined the WTO in 2001 not that it really matters.
