I have no dash lights on my 90 270...they have not worked since i purchased boat last year.

I am assuming turning on Nav. lights would turn on dash lights?

if there is another way to turn them on could someone please share?

Also would like to find a wiring diagram of the helm switches and gauges.

thanks for any help

Just went through this deal on my float. Find out what powers you instruments and or back lights, I'm assuming it's 12 volts. Should be four wires coming from each instrument: the green or blue wire is hot for the lights and black for ground. A little creative wire jumping will confirm what's what. Those are usually spliced together some place behind the dash. Follow the wires back to the nav light switch or just lay new power and ground. SeaRay might have installed a dimmer between the nav switch and the lights, if so think about swapping that out for newer solid state dimmer system (i installed Blue Sea Deckhand dimmers but there are others depending on application.). Not sure if you have back lighting on your panels but Flounder Pounder can hook you up. Did mine and it was pretty straight forward.
I tried my best to just update and or correct the SeaRay wiring but in the end I found it best to pretty much use the nav switch as a signal and go all new from there.
Good luck.

Get a volt meter and start checking.

If you have a dimmer switch make sure you are seeing 12v at the switch and then go from there.

It depends what lights originally were installed. There could be bulbs or electroluminescent strips. If bulbs then follow blue wire (+) and check if you have voltage on it. Some boats had a dimmer installed and that can be faulty but can be easily bypassed. If you have electroluminescent panels glued under dash you need to know that they have limited life span (they probably used up at this time) and they require inverter in order to work. Original inverters were a small black cube around 0.75x0.75x1 inch with 4 wires coming out from it. It also came with dimmer.
