Looking for recommendations on boat insurance for a 420 dancer. I'm near Sandy Hook and was using AIG but submitted two claims and they dropped me. Does anyone have a recommendation to use?

Priced Geico they were twice the price currently paying Progressive was 4 times as much.

Check with NBOA. If there is a market for your risk they will find it.

I got the best rate via NBOA. Other quotes for similar coverage were 50%-150% more.

I gave NBOA a try and they declined because of 1 claim last year for $5k and new to this boat last year while I have been boating for 15.

I've posted this before - I was with NBOA for 10 years on my 340 and 410; never had a claim. When I bought the '58, they wanted a Captain with me for 60 days of running, then a captain certification and their price was outrageous. I called BoatUS, they wanted a survey, sent them the copy, and was insured for agreed value, yacht policy for $2100.00. It's gone up due to the FL hurricanes, but I still haven't had a claim. I was disappointed with NBOA to say the least...

? So your disappointed with BoatUS and NBOA? Who do you have now?

I have Boat US, and it went up this year, I am not sure why... I had Progressive through USAA prior to Boat US, and I was not happy with them, when the denied my one and only claim in 10 years. I might try NBOA as suggested above...

I am also disappointed with NBOA, I was insured with them for well over 7 years with no claims. This year they wanted a survey to reinsure, I paid surveyor $450.00 to do a in water
insurance survey and I was denied insurance because the insurance company wanted
a on land survey.
Ended up saving money and going with a local broker my marina mate recommended
