I have the Sea-Fire G500A on my 1998 370DA. I don't see a place where there was a pin or where a pin could go into stop it from going off. This is original to the boat I'm positive. I see an electrical connection to the bottle but does anyone know if I unscrew that connection will the unit go off? I'm assuming that that connection is to shut down the engines if the unit does get set off.

It won't go off if you cut the wires.

We have similar boats and I replaced the bottle 8 years ago. The one on the left is the original bottle. As you can see, I cut the wires just after the factory connectors. I spliced the new bottle wires into the factory wire.

In addition to the automatic discharge, the new bottle also has a manual pull.
