Sunshade question

So I’m thinking of taking advantage of the 20% off offer from Great Lakes Boat Top but before I do, I wanted opinions on whether this existing frame might be usable? When I purchased boat last year, there was no Bimini, no rear sunshade but had framing for both... or, might this have been a frame for a camper top? Any insight would be appreciated. I would LOVE to have a rear sunshade as deep at this frame, especially since I’m of the opinion that the OEM rear shade is painfully short, but everyone I’ve spoken with states they haven’t anything to fit it. Here are some pix:

I’d probably get a few estimates from local canvas guys instead of ordering online.

If that is not the OEM frame, Great Lakes won't be able to help you. You will need to go with a local shop. Perhaps someone with a 1999 to 2001 340 can give you an idea if that looks like the OEM one, but before you order you would want to be 100% sure.

Great Lakes has been great for my 330. I have bought a full set and replaced a few pieces over the years and they fit perfectly. But my framing is OEM and I don't have a camper top.

Yes, unfortunately that doesn't look stock. If you want to go back to stock great lakes can also get you the original frame and hardware.

We are a distributor for great lakes and can help you with any info you need. We also run discounts all year for CSR members and have additional discounts available during the great lakes sales.

Let me know if you have any questions.

If you're going to have that framing redone, why not extend it back towards the stern and make a camper canvas out of it. You won't believe how much extra room it gives you. I had a 330 Sundancer and had a camper canvas built for it and loved it.

Your profile doesn't say where you live or boat but if you're in a northern climate a camper canvas extends your boating season by a month or more on each end of it.

You should add your location to your profile so people can give you local advice. If you’re on Long Island I have an excellent canvas guy.
