Hi all
Hope someone will give me news that hopefully is a simple fix.
Went to take son out in our 375 (340 Da) this morning and when I went to start port engine a squealing sound started like a loose belt in a car. (I’m no mechanic so excuse my wording)
My son said no water was coming out of the exhaust so we powered down straight away. I then started the starboard engine and exact same sound and issue.
the chances of BOTH engines having identical problem at same time I find weird.
I went into the engine bay and got him to start up to try trace sound (so loud I can’t be sure) but seemed like it was coming from the pulleys. However with the same sound and issue on both engines, what could it be?
is there something that both engines need that they are not getting?
1. solenoids all on
2. Found crankshaft pulley very hot after running for about 15 seconds
3. No water from exhaust on either side
4. No errors on screen on helm except for batteries on starboard but goes off after 1-3secs
5. Turned off within 10 secs as don’t want to do any damage
I believe people have said could be water pumps however both engines at same time ?
is there any fuses or things I can check?
Appreciate any help before I call in the Calvery
