History was she sat unloved for a decade...in the seawater. Hauled out, engines and trannies pulled, new bottom paint, and then listed for sale. I only pulled the trigger due to the mechanical “soundness” of the boat. Cosmetics are a way for me to take pride in refurbishment with relative ease, while not getting in over my head so to speak.

First was a complete cleaning of the galley, salon, and rear berth. What followed in no particular order was a new sound system, Bimini, cockpit cover and carpet kit. I went with the Fusion MS-RA370, NSX-300 remote for the helm, Navy canvas, and marine vinyl. Special shout out to “Be Reel Outdoors” for their expertise and amazing pricing for the Fusion head unit and remote, as well as pricing second to none. Speakers and kickass amp came from “California Car Sounds” who also gave me a smokin’ deal on an Arc Audio XD 1100.5 amp, as well as JL Audio speakers and sub. “Great Lakes Boat Top” supplied the bimini and cockpit cover and wow their quality may be hard to beat! Both in product and customer service... Jim at Corinthian Textiles had his team in line to craft the Marine Grade Vinyl Carpet kit and with a little extra incentive ($$$) I was able to have the new kit in time for Fleet Week SF. More photos to follow...

Looks good.... your Corinthian flooring is that black pearl?.... we are just about to pull the trigger with them but I am having a tough time with the binding color

Thank you for your compliment. The color is Solar Tan. My only suggestion when going through Corinthian or any other vendor for that matter, is to be absolutely certain the dimensions are correct. Being new to nearly ALL of this, I was sent a schematic of what was thought to be a template from a 99 340... I signed off as the “pieces” looked like they’d fit the “puzzle”

The fit is just a little off, hence I’ve yet to actually add the snaps to the carpet. Especially the piece that sits adjacent to the helm, which simply doesn’t fit correctly around the pedestal. No going back so I’m perfectly ok to live with it.

Thanks for thanks for the suggestion... Good luck with the installation

Saw this upgrade on FB this past week. This is a drop in Teak floor that comes in 3 sections for 320 Sundancers. This is something that lays down on the existing carpet. I would love to purchase this but think using our boat for a season before doing something like this is the right thing to do. But, it's killing me not to pull the trigger on this upgrade!

It’s great stuff. But take the time to make your own template. You won’t regret it.

That looks insanely COOL! Read through the wonderful start to finish refurb by “MasterFab” of a 340 and his endeavors basically talked me out of pulling the carpet. Firstly because I don’t have the kind of time he invested but secondly I also don’t believe I have the nearly the skillset he possesses! Leveling the floor before cutting and installing his beautiful wood floor offered amazing end result.

If possible, can you post a link to the FB page? I’m giddy over seeing this!

The drop-in option is VERY VERY interesting. I would have three main concerns/questions:

1. How would you access your storage compartments in the floor? Can't recall but maybe a 320 does not have any. Our 340s have two.
2. Not knowing if the carpet below the drop-in is wet or damp. Possibly could become a mildew issue. Normal use of AC during the summer should keep it dry.
3. Not sure if the couch on an 04 340 could still slide out with the additional floor. Center couch support may need shortened.

Just a few thoughts......maybe this topic deserves its own thread.

Over on the FB thread he says the main section is in 3 pieces so he can access his storage compartments. I agree with your couch pullout concerns
