500/520 DB official thread

Gotcha. I had added an additional boarding ladder to the fixed platform because with my dingy on I can’t use the built in ladder and I was worried about how to get someone back in the boat with the dingy on if there was an emergency.
It would be interesting to see a solution to getting on the platform with it in the water.

What was the solution? My wife is asking that I implement something for this situation.

Check post 675 in this thread. I mounted it on the port corner so we have access to it from the transom door. I keep the ladder in the stern locker for easy access.

What size anchor, if any, do you use to keep your stern in position and not swing on your bow anchor? Mike

I have a Fortress FX-37 with 20' chain and 200' 3/4" 3 strand line. I wanted soemthing That could serve as a backup main anchor as well. I like it because it is light, comes apart and easily stores in the transom locker behind where the hump is for the shore power cord. Line stores on the far side of the hump.

Does anyone know which company manufactured the factory installed dinghy tie down rings on the extended hydraulic factory installed swim platform? I would like to purchase a new one.

Gary are they just “D” rings? Ps the bikes have a lot of miles on them now and adding more will be in key west tomorrow! Thanks pal.

Glad you are enjoying the bikes! Can’t wait to talk with you about your experiences this winter in Florida
Any idea where I should purchase the D ring?

Thanks Jeremy.

Joe/Jeremy, where did you purchase? West Marine doesn't carry the 37. Trying to find rode, swivel and anchor all in the same store has been trying. Mike
I can’t find where I got it in my records but it was an online package and came with line spliced onto the chain and everything. Google it and you should find a place.

Gotcha. I'll keep looking. It seems Defender only goes up to 5/8" line. I've got plenty of time.

Gary, I bought a replacement D ring from Defender. Make sure you order the backing plate as well.
