Pet Peeves (Anything Goes)

Bridog. I get you on the whole bring your dog to the store thing. We’ve got two dogs but I would never take them to Lowes(don’t shop there) or any other store.

if you can’t leave your dog at home for an hour than do not have dogs.

A lot of people do not like animals or are very afraid of them. And most owners cannot control them in a responsible manner.

Imagine a little kid or your grandmother turning the corner and a huge Doberman is standing there. Yes, it may be well trained but it can be very scary.

People who want to blame me for their godawful mouthes full of cavities while they drink a dozen Mt. Dew's a day...I should have named our boat Thanks Mt. Dew, or maybe Hello Sunshine! Or maybe It Ain't My Fault Dipshit. :)

Washington's is straight out of the Uniform Model Traffic Code:

RCW 46.61.100
Keep right except when passing, etc.

(1) Upon all roadways of sufficient width a vehicle shall be driven upon the right half of the roadway, except as follows:
(4) It is a traffic infraction to drive continuously in the left lane of a multilane roadway when it impedes the flow of other traffic.

Notice there's no mention of how fast traffic is moving, whether the jerkoff in the left lane is moving with traffic, only that if someone comes up behind him he has to pull over.

Now if we could only get the cops to enforce it.

California has the same kind of deal. They even post signs saying Slow Traffic Keep Right. I've gotten into heated discussions with road boulders who claim it doesn't apply as long as they are following the speed law. Apparently the concept of the two laws not being mutually exclusive is too complex for their self-righteous little brains.

You seldom see LE enforcing the obstruction law, but every great once in a while....

I always assumed that it was against the law to stay in the left lane in any state. At least that was the way I was brought up. Left lane is for passing only! After passing you move back to the right hand lanes.

Mr. Happy, there is a thing called the Uniform Model Traffic Code. States were encouraged (many years ago) to use it verbatim so all laws would be consistent state to state. Apparently that didn't happen.

What can I say? Politicians got involved and things went haywire. Nothing new there.

When CSR members don't COMPLETE in the information section below their user names as to their location, boat year, make, model, engine and drive systems.

And then ask questions like "why my boat broke?"

Here are some more.
- People who say something they think is funny, and then laugh out loud as though someone else said it.
- People who end every declarative statement as though it was a question.
- People who end every sentence with "You know what I'm saying?".
- People who can't say "is" without adding an additional "is"
- People who say Nuc-cu-lar instead of nuclear.

The thing is is, I guess you could say, people are my pet peeve? you know what I'm sayin'? :):):)

My wife's an RDH. Never knew just how popular Mountain Dew was. She feels the same. You know what I'm saying ? ;) ;)

People who after filling up at a busy gas station with people waiting in line at the pumps, leave their car parked at the pump while they go inside to use the restroom, buy snacks, ect. Just pull into a friggin' parking spot.

Why do females want to be referred to as "guys" ?
Why do females want to be referred to as "dudes" ?
Call me picky but this is carrying equality too far. It can somtimes be difficult enough to tell a "guy" from a "gal" for various reasons so you "Dudettes" need to use your own gender specific tags to help cut down on this confusion. :)
You run into a person this hung up on them self there not worth your time.

How about people that talk on their cell phones at the supermarket? And worse, are on the phone at the checkout stand.

Come on people.....call them back, I've got shit to do.

I recently did that, then promptly apologized to the clerk.

My wife and I have a standing rule in the house: At meal times the phones are put away and the TV is off. Well, unless Gonzaga is playing. There are exceptions to every rule.
