Hello All! New SRC member here, looks like a great forum! My wife and I live in Seattle. We went from a 18 footer to this monster because our friends said save time and skip the 20 and 30 footers.
We really love our new (to us) boat but currently I am reassembling the port engine due to a hydrolocked cylinder issue. The previous owner replaced one of the risers just before he sold it to us. He was given the wrong gasket for the riser. Raw water and coolant mixed and allowed water in where it shouldn't be. I am getting a crash course on the Mercuiser 454. I have good input from fellow yacht club members so it could be worse. I plan to get it back up and running for the upcoming boating season. Looking forward to enjoying it rather than working on it though.

Aside from the problems you’re having with the motor, which can happen on any boat, you’ve got a great boat.
