Well here we are.....

Amazing last quarter. KC offense woke up and that’s all she wrote. Happy for Andy Reid!

Funny thing. I'm not a gambler but for the heck of it put $50 in a fanduel account today. Balance is now $72....lol. Won on a couple of things. Probably never use it again.

But step-son was here and was telling me about the Anquan Boldin anti police ad. He is a detective corporal and head of the local FOP chapter. He said the FOP tried to put an ad up but the NFL said no thanks. Not sure what the NFL could say about it since it's the network selling the ad space? But anyway that' what the FOP told him.

February 2nd, Groundhog Day, Super Bowl Day, and not one word on here about who wants which team to win the BIG GAME.

Have we all lost interest in who wins? Do we not give a crap about the game? I think that other than the MSM the excitement level in this country about football is down the drain.

What say you?
Really wanted to see our 49ers win but they screwed up and KC is good. Bad combination! Congrats to KC and especially coach Andy for finally getting his first!

1st Class , I never realized you could boat there year around. Do you have
To run electric heaters to keep from
Freezing up? Does your marine heat work with the colder water temps?
Just curious, wish we could here.
RBB, yup, we boat here all year. A few times in the 40+ years I've been here our bay has frozen over but it's not often.

We do get sub-freezing temps a few weeks of the winter so I keep 6 electric heaters in the cabin, one in the engine room and one in the lazarette. That keeps the boat from freezing up. I also have a Kasco 3/4 hp deicer pump that goes in the water when things freeze over and it keeps my slip ice free. Basically it's a submersible motor with a fan blade on top. I hang it beneath the boat (about 6' below the surface of the water) and it brings the warmer water from down below and sends it up toward the surface. I only put it in the water when the temps are low enough for a long enough period that we get surface ice.

And yes, the heaters work great no matter what the water temp is. I can easily keep it 70* inside the boat even when it's near zero outside.

I was wondering how you were going to play that. Lol. Hope all is going well Mark and I hope to see you again in NC.

All is well on our end. Hope everything is good there.

There is another alternative, maybe we see you in FL?

We usually have a group over for the Super Bowl, siblings, nieces, nephews, etc..
None of them had all that much interest in the game this year and most had to work today so we skipped the gathering this year.
I didn’t care who won at all. Just wanted a good game to watch.
No disappointments. It was an excellent game to watch.
Half time show? Not so much.
I know I’m really old when I didn’t know any of the songs they were jumping around to.
I think J Lo is getting old too. Looked to me like she had to steady herself on Shakira at the end and probably could have used some oxygen.

Agreed. She is still quite beautiful, but I think it's past time for her to transition gracefully into the next phase.

Didn't care about the game. I wanted to see Shakira perform. But, knew I could youtube it later. I did finally watch it this morning. I bought her first two albums that came out in English. So, I have been a fan for +/- 20 years. She can not only gyrate and look beautiful, she can definitely sing. Crazy thing is that I only listen to Metal and Hard Rock, otherwise.

To tell you the truth I was a little uneasy watching the halftime show with our kids watching. I may seem old fashioned but like so much of of popular entertainment and advertising today, sends the message that anything goes in our society! That also makes it tougher for us parents to realign our kids thinking on what it means to be a success in our society. Us parents were literally squirming with the gaze of our kids locked on J Lo's cameltoe!

Brewster, I agree 100%. Is there nothing anymore that should not go on TV. C'mon man, I like a nice pair as much as the next guy, but not in front of kids.

Yep, 100% my take. People say, oh what's the big deal - you see less clothes at the beach. The difference is you don't have people doing, effectively, pole dancing and getting close ups of their gyrating crotch and butt at the beach. At least not any beach I've been to.

My daughter is 10. I have a hard enough time explaining to her the importance of decorum, dressing properly, and not texting / posting any pics of her body parts. It scares the crap out of me because there are girls in my 13 year old son's class that are sending nudes to classmates. I don't want that to be my daughter, and a half time show like that make my efforts with her infinitely harder.

We like to watch the commercials, loved the Jeep commercial with Bill Murray!
Thought the halftime was raunchy with the gyrating and pole dancing, also thought it was a political smear to put little Latino kids in cages then tell them to get a voice.
