I know this is a stupid question, but what is everyone using to hang decor items (pictures, mirrors, etc) on their boats? I’m reluctant to use screws as I don’t want to puncture anything behind the walls that would come back to haunt me. But I’m not sure that the command strips or Velcro will hold.

Any thoughts?

I use command strips for a variety of items including a fairly heavy clock/thermometer/barometer set mounted on a board and have had no issues. Also use them to augment hooks and hangers in the head, also with no problems.

Command strips. Also, the heavy duty 3M "velcro" works. The kind that's like plastic pins that mate together.

This stuff is great all around the boat...it ends up being a bit thick though for some applications. I have used the traditional hook and fabric in industrial strength and it works well too.

Not a Stupid Question - one that I have pondered myself. Appreciating the responses.

We have used a lot of command strips. Plastic doesn't rust and if the adherent degrades, clean it and put on another in a couple years.
