Need parts. It is a 1990 4cyl. which I believe is Nissan motor. Former owner did lousy maint. The zinc at the exhaust on the end of the heat exchanger was not changed. Result was that the fitting that connects the hose to the muffler rusted out and fell off. Who makes the generator and where can I get parts?

If same problem as we had there is a 1-1/2 in. pipe nipple between back of manifold heat exchanger and cast fitting that houses temp sender and exhaust water fitting..
It rusted out and we removed remnants and chased threads with tap. We are freshwater.
Partsfortechs.com and restoration marine.com have a few. Parts and info. It is a Generac unit with a Nissan micro or pulsar engine. Overall been a good unit.

Thanks. Exactly what i have. How about replacing the pipe nipple, which rusted out, and a hose to muffler from nipple to muffler? You loose the high temp but it was not hooked up anyway.

I don't remember exact reason for casting other than place for overheat sensor. At time I thought it was needed. Doesn't it also have a hose inlet to inject water into exhaust? I was able to remove end cap on heat exchanger and remove nipple remnants and reinstall. I think I bought gaskets from partsfortechs. If you go this route and same as mine, put together as unit before attaching to heat exchanger as there is clearance issue to turn/thread casting.
On my boat I couldn't even see the problem until I removed gen set from engine room. My son has same boat as you. He has a westerbeke. Quicksilver is so much quieter, probably due to being 4 cyl and run at 1800 rpm. You probably can work on yours while still in boat. Good luck.
