Looking at adding guide-ons to my boat trailer. Anyone that uses them have a recommendations for height? They seem to come in 40”, 60” and 75”. Boat is a 2006 240 Sundeck.

I’m using 60” for my 2006 260.
I just put them on this season. Made loading and centering much easier.

How much is out of the water when loading? I got the boat last summer and still trying to find the sweet spot when loading and hoping the guides will help with that plus wind and river current.

I have 60" on mine. Have used them for years. They are just 2"PVC pipe, so if you find that you need them longer, just go to the hardware store.
As for how much is out of the water, well that depends on how steep your ramp is and how far back you go! But mine go up about a foot over the gunwale when, on the trailer, and usually stick out 2-3' from the water on the ramp.

Best add-on is the light kit from the boating stores. BassPro, Overtons, West, all sell them. I wired them as additional brake lights/turn signals, but they can set as running lights as well. turn them on, and they really help loading at night.

When you install them, don't put them too narrow. You want a couple of inches on each side of the boat to make it easy for the boat to center itself.
