First time posting. I had my 2004 320 Sundancer's engine hatch stop working. It worked fine but had a surgery that went bad and no one visited the boat for 3 months. I went now and the hatch wont open. Power is good engines both start. One actuator is less than a year old and I would doubt both would fail at exactly the same time. So I think it may be the control panel. All other things on it work though. I looked in the back and made sure the harness was pushed all the way in. Question is has this happened to anyone else. I've read the power issues but that does not apply here as both engines crank fine. The door is in the open position and magnet is present for safety switch on door. Also can these be repaired or is there a place where they still sell these panels. Any suggestions.

You will have to put a voltage tester at the actuator's to be sure...

And... it's possible that the magnet harness has become disconnected or the wiring for the magnet is broken. You should be able to reach the harness disconnect - although it's in an awkward location, obviously. Or, jump/splice the wiring in a more accessible location to see if that fixes the problem. You can also use a DMM set to Ohms and check the resistance between the two wires of the circuit - with the door open, you should have a closed circuit. If the circuit is open, you've found the problem.

And, check fuse/breaker before anything else, of course.

Don't mean to be captain obvious here but I have made the mistake of not ensuring by transom door is closed all the way. If not the hatch will not open. I guess you can also have that "safely switch" go bad as well Se above. Something to look at. JP
