Has anybody had this happen? It just came up with a DOS looking screen. Thanks for any help. I’m scratching my head on this one.

Not familiar with Maptech, but that is a Phoenix BIOS which used on many PC's. CMOS error indicates that it was not able to read the stored hardware settings - common cause is the CMOS battery has died. Pressing F1 let's the bootup continue with the default settings - which in this case may be fine. Does the system come up and work if you press F1?

I guess the next step is to pull it out and see if I can connect a keyboard? It’s a touch screen

This is a Pentium III running something like Windows 98 with an auto-load of the Maptech software. It's an old PC turned into a chart plotter on top of some very expensive marinized hardware. I have one of the Searay Navigator systems, with the keyboard and joystick mouse. You will need to get the battery changed or you will have this issue all the time. The 460 this one came out of (2003) had a usb port mounted on the dash you could plug a keyboard into. Might be better off starting the hunt for something more up to date. My Android tablet with Navionics charts runs circles around the navigator performance wise for about 100.00 invested.

Thanks everyone. For right now I got it working. Was able to locate the USB port. Plugged in a keyboard and did what the screen said. I hit F1 and wahlaa. It's working. I will definitely check the battery out if it persists. Thanks again for the help.
