Hey guys,

I’m new to the forum. I recently bought a 1997 Sea Ray Bow rider 185, and while cleaning it up, I noticed it was missing a carpet cover for the two side compartments in the back on either side of the engine. Does anyone know what it’s called and/or where I can get a replacement?

Thanks
Jesse

Why Knot just get a piece of canvas and install snaps where you need them.:)

Back then, they were typically a piece of carpet with snaps installed. Easy enough to do. Nothing wrong with using canvas, though... if anything, easier still.

Thanks guys. I though about using canvas if I can’t find an oem fix. I have one side that is just a blue piece of carpet that snaps on.

In my older 220, those access cutouts are covered with square sections of vinyl with simple snaps.

Get a stainless snap install kit from Harbor Freight and make it yourself. Pretty simple little task. May as well make an extra or two when one flies out going down the road.

On my covers the edges are folded and the snap penetrates multiple layers for strength. Those will take a lot of wind pressure.

forgot to mention, welcome to the forum. I am pretty new myself and find this place addictive.

I think it is part of the rules or something - you gotta post a few pictures of your boat for us to get a look. We are all boat fanatics.
