So you’re using a brush since you’re adding the hardner?

Yep. Grind up one of these and add it to the paint.
 
I do brush it. The lines flow out nicely with the hardener.
 
It is probably what Frank said, as I believe those two cans, even though both are same manufacture, they are from two different product lines and are not compatible. Remove all traces , clean , repaint or powder coat.
