Wanting to add a few subs to my 2003 290 BR. Can anyone recommend a good place to mount them?

TIA

Not familiar with that boat's layout, however, if the woofers are for same listening area, I prefer to have them on the same plane. This means the least amount of phase cancelling. If the area is large and broken up by like an L shaped lounge seat, then one woofer in each zone, and plane does not really mater.

I must be very tired. I read the title and thought he meant submarines. I was like "who the hell owns a submarine? Let alone two?" I'm going to bed.

Wylie is the resident sound system guru, imo, so listen to him. He knows what he is talking about

All depends on size and what you want to do. If you are going with 10's, A "few" subs is probably too many, and just to clarify, I used 4-10's in my cars or 2-15's back in the day, so I am a bass head....

I could see 2-10's or maybe go smaller with 4-8's. Back in the day, a buddy did 4-6.5's in an s-10 and it sounded awesome....

Here is a 2001 layout, I put red lines where I have seen subs mounted in other sundancer, not sure where they would work on a 290

Sorry buddy.

I’m not into music on the boat so have no experience with adding such equipment. Our style of boating trends toward relaxed and quiet, with an occasional baseball game in the stereo. I’m not a fan of the boaters that come in and inflict their choice of music on the whole anchorage. Sound travels very far over the water.

I have 1-10" sub in my 380 DA and it's pretty good, my dock neighbor has 2 in his and it rattles a lot of stuff....

I put 1-8" in my four Winns 268 Vista, and I loved it, so tight and crisp, no extra rattling..... its all what you are going for.

The PO put kicker in mine, sounds fine, but I prefer JL, so I will be swapping the system out either this winter or next
