Retractable steps on hydraulic swim platform

I know of someone that had a step installed on their new Sabre. Not sure how the operation of that platform compares to the one in question.

This is a great idea. No moving parts and not seen unless the lift is down. I am going to look into having something similar made up.

I don’t have a lot of detail, but you’re on the right track. I understand the platform simply covers the step when it’s in the raised position.

Frankly that gap looks scary to me.

Please let me know what you come up with. It would be great to have a step or ladder to the platform when it’s down

Man these hydraulic platforms are a pain. Glad I don't have to worry about all these problems.... NOT:(:(:(..... Wish I had to figure out how not to damage my hydraulic platform.

Great Lakes figure out how to fill in that gap in case I have one to many while hanging out on your platform.:D:D

We have been concerned with that gap as well. Haven’t found a great idea yet to get back and forth although B_arrington’s option is worth looking into.

Attached Picture- One idea is install the removable Ladder from the laundry room bilge area. This will give us a removable set of stairs that once the platform is lowered you simply clip the ladder in place. I would install it in the same location as the OEM ladder would have been in the picture. I guess you could install it almost anywhere across the back. It only takes two small stainless steel mounts.

Attached Picture- another option that might work is to install the OEM grab handle and fold down steps in the original ladder location our boats had without the hydraulic platform. This would require removing the small fiberglass cover where the handle would be installed.

Incase you have one too many? Lol

So far the dog is the only casualty of the dreaded gap
