Aw Ha, a Honda Generator on the swim platform!
Let the comments begin.
NO one else has made a comment but i will, The Genny is a NoNo!
In your opinion...…..Ran one for MANY years before my current boat that has it's own genny. Probably more than 50-60% of over nighters use them in Florida, why?, cheaper on fuel and no problems with weeds eating up your impellers. I always had 4 detectors inside boat with fresh batteries, NEVER a problemNO one else has made a comment but i will, The Genny is a NoNo!

I know Brad.....lolI'm not jumping in this pool. But you know running the Honda on a boat in the water evokes passionate replies here.
Great job B, saved me a lot of typing and no way I would have been that detailed. I have a 99' 400 as well and noticed they are mounted on the top swim platform. The Weavers davits would be on the bottom one.Sorry guys, that is NOT a Weaver bracket. It looks similar, but there are some critical differences.
This is a Weaver mount:
The bracket in question has the following differences:
What you have here is a mounting bracket for a St. Croix removable davit system. Or, if there is only one, it's for a St. Croix outboard motor mount.
- It's overall more rectangular and longer than a Weaver.
- The opening is considerably wider than the Weaver bracket, and the holding shoulders more narrow.
- Weaver bracket have 4 bolt holes - 2 on either side. That one has 7 bolt hole.
- The pin for Weaver mounts has the pin location on the forward side of the mount. This one is in the middle of the plate.
This is the St. Croix davit. You can see the trapezoidal base under the plate.

These are the dimension and layout for the bracket for the St. Croix 350 model.

This is the outboard storage bracket. It's similar to the davit mount. You can see the bolt pattern and the center pin. I had one on my last boat; good product, easy to use.
Sorry to hijack your thread ezsteps, I did have those weavers on my 2001 280DA they worked well for usGreat job B, saved me a lot of typing and no way I would have been that detailed. I have the Weavers on mine and they work great. When I was talking about the bottom I meant the bottom swim platform. The late model 400's have an upper and lower swim platform.Sorry to hijack your thread ezsteps, I did have those weavers on my 2001 280DA they worked well for us
