SeaDek Color not desirable.

I have the darker color Seadek and don't feel that it gets hot at all. Easy to walk on. Unlike the Infinity woven vinyl, now that's VERY hot.

Get online and buy a bottle of Boat Juice. This stuff is truly incredible on SeaDek. I use this for routine seasonal cleaning and a pressure washer for the heavy pre-storage and post-launch washes. Ours looks brand new on year 3.

I just added this this weekend. Hoping with out pretty clear lake water is stays clean. Otherwise I’m really happy with how it turned. Sure beats the dirty swimplatform.

Is there a product like these that don’t get hot? I’m surprised that Infinity woven vinyl gets hotter than seadeck.

I’m looking into plasteak now.

If all these get hot I’ll just recarpet.

That looks spectacular but I hear you on the upkeep. Though pick a dark color and this would have been your post - “installed this dark brown sea dek, and although it looks good and is easy to clean, it is hot underfoot on sunny days”....
There is a trade off.
We have the dark brown version and we like it because we thought it stayed cool. It's thru the entire boat. Compared to the cheaper woven seagrass, there is no comparison....very comfortable to walk on, whereas the other requires a towel.

As far as cleaning, we use the oem version and it cleans up in a few minutes.

I installed the same color but I used Aqua Marine Deck and I would recommend it all day. AMD uses different components than SeaDek so it stays a lot cooler in the sun. I was next to a boat with SD and had same color a few weeks ago. It was so hot I couldn’t stand on it. My wife would make me rip it off if it got that hot.

Of course it gets dirty, it’s a boat but it’s super easy to clean. I use the white bristle brush and that’ll get most of it pretty clean. There may be a few small spots that need a little more love but it’s not too bad at all to keep clean. Looks new after it’s clean. No complaints so far.

I made the template and I installed.

Beautiful! I have AMD on my swim platform and love it. My only complaint is that it seems very suceptible to denting or damage if something's dropped on it like the power cord head or tool etc... Have you had the same experience?

I have plas deck and love it. It does get hot as hell in July and aug... we just keep a bucket handy and cool it down with lake water.
It cleans up well with water and a brush. For deep stains on plasdeck you can use a 3m pad and it gets it out.

I have the ebay special and powerwash it as well. I even use my 3200 psi gas PW but with a wide spray attachment. It comes out like new everytime. It’s 2 years old

Well...you eBayers need to give us a little more info. I am very interested in the cheap stuff for ‘89 220 cuddy. I have cheap carpet cut in now. Would love an inexpensive upgrade that looks great.
What specific brand/vendor, if that is okay to ask?

Do it right or don't do it. Can't stand the look of unfinished edges.

You can definitely tell who does the cheap.

I certainly don’t go cheap on the safety and mechanical side. Since I use my ‘89 220cc boat for fishing and diving, I can’t justify dropping a fortune on the Sea Deck stuff. I have also read Sea Deck does not hold up well to drops and scrapes such as dive tanks and fish fins. The cheap carpet is comfortable to stand on and keeps us from slipping on a wet deck. If the cheaper ebay deck looks great and holds up, I would try it. I certainly would put the better stuff in my 280DA.

I wouldn’t use any foam for a boat used for diving or fishing. It does scratch easily. That being said, search eva decking on eBay and you’ll see all kinds of options.

$200 including the platform. Lots of planning though. It’s wet in these pictures so it looks like a different shade in some areas

That’s good info. This forum is great.
The cheap Home Depot carpet in my 220 is doing fine. Doesn’t scratch. Looks okay from a distance. Does not get hot. Feels good under foot. Pull it out to wash mud or fish blood. Cost me $50 and an afternoon. I guess I will just keep what I got. Save that money for the 280DA job. Thanks.

I had the Moca with black installed a few months ago.We love the color and it really improved the look of the boat.
