Any info on why I keep getting a corroded distributor cap? About 50 hours and needs replaced again. Has a miss when forst running.
Distributor keeps getting corosion.

Build up on the 8 terminals is normal, just scrape it off, doesn't mean it's junk. Is the screen on the body clear ?

Are you in a Salt water environment?
Mine has 350hours in fresh water and I plan on checking Distributor for the first time this coming off season.
Curious as to a life expectancy on Caps and rotor.

No screen it's a flat distributor.

The screen on the body faces straight down. I put some corrosion inhibitor on the contacts and any other ferrous parts in there that look like they're getting rusty.
