We’re finally boating Snowbirds!

Hey Joe..... Ever hear the phrase... “Stop and smell the roses” geez...... I thought you were retired! Haha... Do you know where you are going to stop when you cross the lake?

I was thinking we could have dinner together so I guess at your marina?

We’re in Sea Rays slip in Cape Canaveral 6-1/2 hours your correct every time we stop we get more! Plan is tomorrow Stuart then the lake crossing the next day.

I would take the older Searays over the newer models any day. You have a great boat!

Sounds like a plan... Request a slip on H dock. I believe the yacht at the end of the T dock departed today so it should be open. I’m on the inside of the T dock...... There are several restaurants at the marina.

Carter- How are you? So I’m sure you now know I’m back at Tarpon Point. I saw your post about leaving your boat in TN. So we would love to have you on board for cocktails when your back in Florida.....If for nothing else.. for you to say crap! What was I thinking not bringing the boat back down to Fl.....

Only my opinion, but I like your style boat way more than the eruo styled boats!

LOL! I've already said that! Glad to know you are back at Tarpon Point! Look forward to seeing you and Kristi again! I wasn't due for any major MAN maintenance, so Reward gets a deserved rest! I will miss that beautiful Marina - a dockmate took my slip, so I'll have to see what I can do to get him out next year or we will enjoy H dock with you next year!

Joe,
Just saw this thread for the first time today. Been following Martha's posts on FaceBook. Enjoy the trip!

If you can slow down a little, the family is flying to Fort Myers on the 8th and staying in Captiva for a week. We would love to be able to meet up and say hi.

Either way, you should try to make a stop at South Seas Resort on Captiva for a night or two. It's a Beautiful place. And a stop at Cabbage Key for lunch is also a "don't miss" location. It is located at ICW Channel Marker 60 across from Ussepa Island.

Love following this thread. Looks like you're having a great trip. Safe travels for the rest of it. I guess I'll go to the marina this weekend and check on Bottoms Up sitting on the hard.:(

So after 11 days from New York we made it to our winter home in Longboat key club in Sarasota and we can’t be happier we’re only here a few hours but it seems really nice.
They have a shuttle that will bring you shopping,or drinking etc....
The slip is great we share our finger dock with a 80’ Marlow who’s on the tee so we have a 8‘ finger 5 restaurants and all services you’d want.
I’ll post some pics and video soon of the area. id .ime to thank Capt Rusty and John (Gimme time) for checking in on us daily with texts and phone calls it wasn’t great feeling knowing you had someone tracking you
This was our first time on our own for such long trip and I have to give my wife a lot of credit was was our navigator and spotter she gave me lock and bridge contact info so I could contact them prior to our arrival.
She also was spotting Day marks before we saw them.
all in all the boat ran like she was new I would take this boat to the far reaches if I had the fuel she purred for 8-9 hours a day for 11 days I couldn’t ask for anything g better.
So there it is and pics to follow thanks guys for your interest...

Great trip and know ya had long days but the two of you will enjoy yourselves there for quite sometime. When ya take the Puke & Chuck ferry to KW this winter give us a shout out and will catch ya when down a little further South!

This is why we’re here.

Wonderful photos, TY for posting.

Give us a shout if you ever head up towards Clearwater. We are down about every 4 weeks for a week or two. We usually spend a couple of days in CLW, then go down south for a few days.
