Does anyone know of any manufactures that make "yard" trailers for a 400 sundancer? The closer to Ohio the better. We do not have access to a lift where I boat and would need a float on trailer to put the boat in and out. The prices I'm getting are for full blown road worthy trailers from $13k and up.

Ideally, we put the boat in the water in the spring, then pull it out once Nov 1. I don't need the lights and set up for road travel, just a safe trailer to put it in and out and to store it on.

If a boat is being stored for the winter on land and then kept in the water all summer why would you want to own a trailer for it? The expense of purchasing, registering, maintaining and storing the trailer would be very high. In addition it would be very difficult to work on the bottom of the boat when on the trailer. I recommend you pay a boat hauler, buy some stands and blocks and be done with it. Cheaper and less hassle in the long run.

i have to have a trailer for storage and movement at my storage location. if it floods the boat has to be moved and moved quickly so, a shipper is not possible.

Ouch. That's makes it tough. I'd think about finding a "more friendly" storage location. What kind of tow rig do you own that can pull that size boat?

What do you plan on pulling the trailer with? I have one that you pull with a road Tractor I might part with, Use it to pull out 450 with.
I have an f-450 or access to a road tractor as well. PM the details on your set up if you would?

When we went to look at our old 260 before purchasing it, all the boats at Cocsakie Boat Club were on homemade trailers like this one. The marina had a ramp and used a loader to move them around. They were a lot like a farmers hay wagon:

Front axle steers with the drawbar.
