Cord size for repacking rudder gland?

Does anyone one know what size packing cord I need for the rudder glands on my 2002 340DA?
I see ads with diameters from 1/8" up to 5/8"

This will be one of my winter projects...

Once you loosing up the packing gland you should be able to determine the diameter

Inside diameter of the packing gland stuffing box minus the diameter of your prop shaft divided by 2 equals your cord size.

but he, is talking about rudder packing
 
You could order a few sizes and return the ones that aren't right. Also, you want a mandrel that is the size of the shaft to cut the packing on.
