So I solved the issue with the motor not getting up to full rpm, took it out, ran for about 30 minutes at 3200 rpm cruising fine.
Stopped the boat for about 1.5 hours offshore to fish, then when tried to start, it started right away, then stalled, then would not start again.
Checked carb and no fuel was being put into it, then checked line from mechanical fuel pump (which was just replaced..second time running) and no fuel was coming out of it at all..zero.
I also did not feel any pressure coming from line.
Ordered another mechanical pump and will install, but has anyone ever heard of a new mechanical pump going bad that fast or any ideas?

no but a anti-syphon valve will stop the fuel provided your not out of fuel in that tank

The tank has fuel and I also tried switching tanks with crossover without success

Yes, I have had a new mechanical fuel pump bad out of the box so , it is a possibility. Maybe swap pumps if you have twins?

A few years ago a friend had 3 bad brand new pumps in a row. They were not OEM and came from China. He then bought a new Carter pump and has been fine since.
