I have a 1990 220da. The anchor locker is in the forward birth behind a hinged access door. Has anyone installed an anchor hatch on the topside of the boat. My 2010 340 had it there. Just wondering. Thanjs

I had a similar 21 ft boat, not a Sea Ray, that just had a hawsepipe hole in the deck to feed the anchor rode into while using the anchor (no windlass). It was a pit of a pain, but not the end of the world. I am not sure you would be able to properly seal a hatch and there is not much room to install one on a small boat. So when you take waves over the bow I think a lot of water might get in and flood into the interior if the hatch drain could not keep up.

Thanks... Yes, I was thinking about the water getting in. Maybe I just leave it as is. Tough going from a nicer boat to one with less amenities

I would agree. I had your identical boat a few years ago....My interior got wet from the anchor locker and all I had was the hause pipe. The drain had become clogged and made a mess on the inside fabric. So anything that would increase exposure to wet prob isn't a good idea....

Thanks, I'll have to take a look at the anchor locker and make sure the drain isn't plugged. Had a little water in from the railing bolts that had to be resealed . Now the only thing for let to do is find a way to raise the rear cockpit seating and add another bench.lol
