1989 270 Amberjack I took out the carpet and plan on replacing it with that faux teak rubbery stuff and when I unscrewed the table stand hole this was under it. It is wet in there!

What goes into this? Shere does it go? What is it for? Should it be wet in there. There is this squishy rubbery sogging wet piece inside of it.
Thanks,
Dave

Isn't the table mount a flush-mount type? Meaning, the table leg sticks down into the "hole" of the mount? Wouldn't it would follow suit that the mount hole/cup stick down into a hole? What does your mount look like?

No, shouldn't be water in there. Are you seeing foam that is wet? It looks like the floor is wet, too. I don't "think" that dead space extends to the bilge, but maybe you can do some exploring on the bilge side to double check.

Yeah it was wet in there, it really annoys me and I do not think there is much I can do about it. I actually made it worse by putting water in it to try and see where it drained to. Nope it does not drain to anywhere! I tried to dry it out as much as I could and finished the floor up and put the table mount back on =/.

Put a wet vac hose into the hole and let it rub for awhile. See how much water you get. It's coming from somewhere, possibly the deck/hull joint or side window. Do you keep the full canvas up on you're boat at all times.

I think I fixed the issues, there were actually 3 spots where there was a leak when I got the boat. The Railing bolt holes, the horn wires, and there were a few holes someone made in the cockpit for a speaker. I have sealed up all the holes. When it rained the water would seep in. I used some 3M 4000 and after some decent rains I do not see anymore dampness. Another spot was the anchor locker that had a hole that ran right into the cabin!
