Could do with some help in finding correct davit for swim platform. Want to have space on the swim platform when dinghy is on the davit as we can only board the boat from the starboard access and the entrance to boat on the port side so need to walk in between boat and tender. Should I use an extended davit etc any help would be welcomed? Tender would be probably be 8ft with 4-6 short outboard engine. Pics would be fantastic.

The big question is The depth of your swim platform. Take the beam of your dinghy and divide by 2. That number plus whatever you think is enough for a walkway becomes the distance from the transom to the center of the cradle. Now compare the location of the cradle center with the depth of your swim platform. If the center of cradle is greater than swim platform it’s hanging off the end and depending on David design you may need extenders.

That’s not the end of the world, the entire cradle for our Hurly H3 is out in space. That’s basically because we have a tiny platform. The picture was taken while the name was being installed hence the unorthodox line layout.

Thank you for your reply..appreciated. I was hoping to see anyone who has a 340 sundancer who has gone through this process.
