Safe Harbor Marinas..

I'm hearing rumblings that MacRay Harbor is in the crosshairs of Safe Harbor Marinas. Anyone have info they can share regarding this possible sale? I've read a few threads on CSR and they weren't so positive about Safe Harbor Marinas.

I thought MacRay just sold a few years ago to a dot.com guy. I couldn't imagine him taking a loss so soon.

My vote is still out on this safe harbor marina thing. I am in one and have no problems but everyone around me is complaining... So will wait and see before deciding

Our boat was in storage in one of the safe harbor marinas here in mass. A lot of work that was supposed to be done wasn’t. Since the broker covered it all without complaint to us after the fact leads me to believe they were just incompetent.

I am wondering which Safe Harbor Marina it is. Our marina (Buffalo Harbor) is run by Safe Harbor of Tennessee for about 4 years and So far so good. Our rates have gone up but they have put millions into new docks (over 1000 slips) and made several other improvements. I don't think we pay what other well appointed marinas pay on the great lakes, but I'm sure we will catch up. They had some learning curve issues in the beginning as I think we were the first really big marina for them and one where they had to deal with cold weather off seasons. That seems to be behind them now.
They have since acquired properties in Erie PA, Don't know if they are moving your way now.

Funny, going to our safe harbor's website and looking at the photos of the Buffalo Harbor property makes it a little easier to write the check. Those are the old pictures before the upgrades, we've come a long way in 4 years.

I think Rich is talking about shmarinas.com ... They have bought a number of marinas around us. Your safe harbor group of marinas look very nice... Odd both would have the same name
