Well, I put my boat on today for the first time.
It was a piece of cake. I did have to back in farther than I expected, but everything worked perfectly.
Loadmaster Trailers in Port Clinton Ohio did an outstanding job, she fits very nicely, and the trailer is extremely well built.
Looks like I'm appx 14'2" high.
I need to get the wife to help me measure it more precisely.

It's a 2000 F350 Super Duty 4wd.
It has the 7.3 diesel, and its chipped, and has a little larger turbo on it.
The trailer has all wheel drum brakes.

Looks great! Beautiful rig!

I’d recommend keeping an extra set of bearings/races on hand just in case you have a premature failure. They’re usually standard sizes but finding them off-hours on the side of the interstate can be challenging sometimes...knowing what you need is usually half the battle. Also, an IR thermometer in the truck for checking trailer hub temps. Easy to identify a problem before it involves a deductible...

Luckily my one bearing failure happened in the driveway. On the road would have been much more interesting.

Good idea. I have an extra set for my little boat's trailer, should get one for this one.
I have the manual, so I could easily get an extra set of bearings.

Guy at our marina had a 2015 310 and had a brand new Loadmaster trailer built for it (same one I PM'd you about last year). He originally towed it with a 2015 2500 Silverado 6.0 gasser but upgraded to a 2017 Denali Duramax. He traded the 310 in on a new 350 last year. No towing that one now...lol

Nice rig. We want to get to that place in the next few years.

Gotta ask about how it tows. I am tugging around our 2004 DA with a 2017 F-150 with the ecoboost 3.5. Our trailer is tandem and has 4 wheel disc brakes. Stopping and starting it is not a problem at all. But, a good cross wind works me over like a one legged man in an ass-kicking contest. We pull about 1.5 hours each way to whichever lake we go and if it is windy, I'm wore out from the drive. How is that thing handling, so far?

I haven't pulled it yet. I just put it on the trailer to measure the height, and install the bow stop.
We had an 06 260 that we pulled. It had a triple axle trailer, and it pulled really good.
There's no doubt a crosswind will affect it. We have a cab over camper, and like you said, the winds wear you out.

Thanks Mike. I need to hinge the arch though, I guess.

If you decide to hinge it, let me know and I’ll be happy to supply pics of how mine was fabricated. Adds a little peace of mind when towing around low-hanging obstacles.

That would be great stephenm27.
Do you want to post them here, or do you want an email?
I am going to hinge it

It’ll be easier for me to send you a link to a google drive location than to post them here as it takes an extra step to make the google drive links linkable here. If someone else is interested I’ll share with them as well.

I’ll try to take a few general ones that gives you an idea of how mine was done and then I can post specific pics that you’d like to see.

I’ll PM you with a link once I have some for you to view...later tonight or tomorrow ok for you?

Whenever you get around to it is fine.
Thank you very much.

I towed our 1986 250DA with a tri-axle trailer with my 2013 1500 Ram with no problems. Also towed our 2006 Crownline 250CR with an aluminum tandem axle Venture trailer no problem. Upgraded to a 2018 2500 Ram now but the 1500 was no problem with either boat. Maybe the weight? Never weighed the 250DA but it had the tri-axle steel trailer that was pretty heavy. I weighed the CL 250CR last week. 7400lbs for the boat, 1300lbs trailer and 7200lbs for the truck.

I won't have any problems, it's a one ton truck.
I won't be setting any speed records going up hills, but it will pull it just fine.
They towed it from Missouri to Washington State with a one ton dually.
