Pronautic 1230P Battery charger

Your link is to the 30A unit yet you title is the 40A.

I was just lookin at changing to this what's the reason for not keeping just wondering if I should be looking at something else now
Usually driven stereo equipment upgrades... high wattage amps need more power so they suck more off the batteries than the charger supplies then the batteries never get fully charged when on shore power.

We anchor out a lot and I wanna be able to charge faster so I don’t have to run generator as long

I replaced a 30amp OEM with a Pronatutic 1240p too. You will need to check the amperage of the fuses/breakers on the output side of the charger. On my 330 they were 30 amp. So the first time the charger needed to output the entire 40amps to one bank, it burned the fuse on that one. I did not know until two weeks later when I came back to a dead battery bank. On my boat the are in-line fuses. Others may be different. Might be breakers in the 12v panel.

My charger is on the AC 120v side of the breaker panel. There are DC fuses on the lines to the batteries.
