So long story short, my marina destroyed my windshield frame and bimini frame. No complaints about how they are handling it, they have taken complete responsibility.

But...Taylormade told them they have to custom make it and it will be 5-6 weeks. The frame completely separated from the glass, rendering the boat unusable at the height of the season.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to look for a replacement frame? I am open to anything.

Ebay, Flounder Pounder, you might get lucky. If they are getting Taylor Made to make a new one that would be the way to go - but I get it, 5 weeks without my boat would be tough even if they are letting me use one of theirs. I don't understand why Taylor Made windshields seem so difficult, they are crazy expensive and trying to get any replacement parts is like trying crack a secret code.

Now TaylorMade says 8 weeks for a new windshield. If I'm lucky I could have the boat in one piece by Labor Day. Ughhh! In hind sight, it would have been better if they had just dropped the boat and it was totaled. I could have a new boat this week...

My season ended before it started, I just didn't know it until now. The windshield arrived at the mechanic's shop on September 16th. The mechanic picked my boat from the marina on the 23rd. They tried putting the windshield on Tuesday. No go, didn't fit. Taylormade took 12 weeks to make the wrong windshield. They say it is not their fault, that the marina gave them the wrong part number, but when they pulled it up it came up as a 2007 270 SLX. So I got the correct Taylormade part number from Sea Ray and asked the Taylormade rep for the numbers my marina gave him. The numbers from Sea Ray are 12 digits plus a dash. The numbers I got from the rep were 10 digits, no dash. Somebody is BSing here. I am just going to leave the marina to battle it out with Taylormade. At least I know they have the right part numbers. And the marina comped my storage for next year as well as committed to getting the boat right. Would have liked to get some fall boating in around my son's wedding.

Yeah. but a 22' trashed wake boat hardly makes up for our 270. Cruising was limited, and non-existent when the lake was up at all. They did what they could with what they had. But it altered our boating. We only had our boat 2 weekends this year.

Really sucks that you lost the use of your boat for so long.
I know it’s hard to look at the upside of something like that, but it sounds like the marina is stepping up and doing whatever they can for you.
