What should I expect to spend annually in engine/general boat maintenance for a boat that is 2005 and 33'? I'm trying to get a gauge of whether buying something like this is within reach or I'm just dreaming.

I keep hearing 10% of the cost is a good idea of what I t will cost you in mortal maintence. Of course that dose not take into account fixing what breaks.
Call some body around you, a couple guys, and see what they charge for annual servicing.
I do most of my own work, cuts the cost way down.

I had the same boat.......depends how much you do yourself (I did nearly everything).......in a good year 1k - in a bad year 10k - that boat is getting old and many systems are approaching end of life....its not only. the motors - think out dreives, transom assys, fridge, ac, hw heater, fresh water pump, head system, ecm - then there is normal maintenance like canvas, vinyl, exhaust.......owning a boat of this size and age is not inexpensive - between slip, maintenence, gas and transient slips/trips my '05 300 usually burned through about 20k/yr - FWIW I just sold mine for mid 40s

I have an 07 320, last year was 25k, but that includes everything except the boat payment. Gas, at least 3k in repairs, 1k maintenance, groceries the day of boating, 6k in storage (500/month x 12), would even include slip fees when spending the night at marinas, any restaurants we visited while in the water, so its a bit too all encompassing. Literally, any expense incurred as we travel to the boat until we get back home gets categorized as a boating expense! So that number is a bit high. If you can do the maintenance or repairs, that goes a long way towards lowering that number.
