Hello Sundancers!
I need to replace rode (rope + chain) on my 2007 280 DA. Do you know
  • which windlass is installed (part manual suggest Quick 1848989)
  • suggested rope and chain diameters
  • where to find/download windlass manual

There are numbers stamped inside capstan stating rope and chain size.
 
Your existing Chain should have markings on it...
 
Do yourself a favor before putting the new rope and chain in the boat lay it out and every 25 ft spray paint fluorescent orange That way when anchoring out you just have to count each 25 feet as it goes out to know how much length you have out.
 
Thanks guys! Found out that 200' 1/2" rope + 20' 1/4" chain fit perfectly (bought @ West Marine for $250)
 
@Jovan Ribic, I'm about to take the plunge to buy an anchor and rope for my 2005 280. Did your rode of choice above from West Marine continue to help you set anchor? (I need to buy a 22lbs delta anchor as well).
 
I'm in the process of doing the same for a 2005 280DA and would love to know what others are using. I'm tempted to get 100' of chain and the 200 of rope to keep most of my anchoring to chain only.
