460 sundancer

I don’t run them personally but what would you like to know? They were an option but most folks opted for the Cummins power simply because they are well respected engines with a service network that is hard to beat and have a lineage that is well documented.

The Volvo’s are good engines but parts and service is more expensive. If you boat in an area with a good local serviced for Volvo’s I wouldn’t be scared of them at all.

hello, would anyone have any knowledge on the Volvo Diesel engines in a 2001 460 I’m looking at.

Model. TAMD 74EDC

What would you like to know, I have owned my 460 (badged and sold as a 515 in Europe) for 7 years.

The Volvos have been very good for me. They are very popular in Europe with an excellent Service network. Parts do not seem to be priced high compared to Cats or Cummins.
