Good evening. I once heard there are no stupid questions so i am going to ask this - I have pad next to my autopilot. The pad has numbered push buttons on it and I dont know what it is for. I assume something for my autopilot or chartplotter/radar. Does anyone know what it is for? Thanks. IMG_7657.JPG

The unit was an add on remote to the e series chartplotter. You use the keys to set things like waypoints and the round tab to navigate the mouse. Basically a wireless key pad / mouse for the chartplotter.
They had even larger keyboard size units. Sail boats generally have a station below with a desk, so the skipper could use the key board to route their next waypoints in the evening. Your unit is the smallest version they made.
