Pump comes on bout once an hour for a second. Can’t find a leak anywhere. Could it be the pump losing pressure back to the tank somehow?

Mine cycles for a second, maybe a couple times per day. No visible leaks anywhere (that I can access). Brand new pump. So I won't worry about it unless it worsens.

The three things I would check next would be

1. Is the ice maker on? It uses a small amount of water infrequently and could cause the pump to cycle.

2. Check the pressure relief valve in the water heater. These can leak a bit, causing pump cycling. Some heaters are plumbed overboard or into a grey water sump, so if they are dripping, it’s not easy to see.

3. The dockside water inlet which has a check valve that can fail. This type of leak may be hard to detect since, depending on the particular boat, it could be in a place you might expect to be wet anyway.

I think if you keep looking you will find the leak eventually.

Check to make sure the faucets and transom shower are turned off all the way.

My last leak was in the lazarette in a connection leading to the transom shower.

Just went through this - took awhile. I had two different fresh water spigots that the knobs had gotten bumped. One in a storage compartment at the bow where lines are stowed. The second was on the stern, shower knob was not snug. Was really small amount, took forever to find.

Mine does the same every 30-40 minutes for a split second....looked for leaks for the first year I bought it in 2016 still can’t find anything. Gotta live with it I guess

Every time I read about owners chasing this type of issue I can only wonder why they don't install an accumulator tank to prevent the pump from cycling. I know it won't stop the leak if there is one but the pump will not cycle on and off all night while your trying to sleep.
