That looks amazing! Is the lake that big that you can find a spot all to yourself, or is it just lack of boaters this time of year?

It is that big. If you want to get away from others you can. 1600 miles of shore line.
We stayed at another spot before this in for four days and didn’t see one other boat for that four days.

Wow, that is amazing. What a cool place. How's the water around those parts? Swimable?

Wow. I will find a way to visit that!

July Aug day temp is 100 to 110 water temp 88 to 90. Sept and oct are the most desirable Months. Water temp stays in the 80 air temp 85 to 90.

All water is swimmable.

This year it feels like we are getting a early fall so October might be colder than years past.

Awesomeness!!

Is there any cell phone coverage in some of those remote spots?

I'm not really a lake guy, but it looks like a cool place.... Can you reach emergency assistance out there or are you on your own?

There are two main marinas on the lake . Bull Frog marina is 100 miles north from the dam this is where I keep my boat. This is very remote and they have a triage clinic. If you need more than they can provide you will be life flighted to Grand Junction CO. 60k is what that flight cost. On the Dam end of the lake is Page Az they have all the hospital care you will need and if they cant provide it you are taken to Flagstaf AZ.

If you are needing emergency care on the lake you call park service on channel 16 and then they will come to your location or you start to head into Bull frog UT or Page Az and they meet you or they dispatch life flight to your location if that is what is needed .

Back in the day before cell phones everyone on the lake kept channel 16 on and when you needed help most other boaters responded. It seams these days not to many leave the marine radios on.

If needing boat emergency assistance. Both ends of the lake will send out mechanics or tow boats.
