Bad smelling water out of head sink faucet.

Fill tank and add ½ cup of bleach.
Go for a cruise.
Pump water through sink faucet.
Once smell is gone, flush tank a couple more times with fresh water (no bleach)

Also, when you fill your tank, don't use a rubber garden hose. Use one of those white plastic food-grade hoses.

What he said!
I’ll just add that you should try to keep using up water in the tank. I try to go through my 100 gallons every week or so. If I don’t use it all up I run it dry and fill with fresh water again. No stink!

Buy a gallon of the cheapest vodka you can find and pour it your tank... Go for a run and run every faucet separately to flush it out...

Hmm.....maybe I could use Gin instead and just recycle it.........

proper measurement is 1/4 cup bleach to 15 gallons of water................that is what is recommended for rv's..........don't add bleach directly, mix with water, then add to tank...................run water, let sit at least 4 hrs........flush out tank......done

What if hes not running off the water tank on the boat and has the smell ?

Is it on the cold water only or hot water ??

to robski97 and great lakes, if you add the bleach solution to your tank, then run water throughout the system, the bleach will disinfect all water lines, whether hot or cold................when you "rinse" the system, drain the hot water tank of the bleach solution first, will make it easier...................this type of bacteria will impact both hot and cold, but you will smell it more on the hot side................we disinfect our bus a couple of times a year, whether it needs it or not.........you just don't want the solution to concentrated, that is why you don't just dump bleach in the water tank...................something i would recommend, if you are not using the boat for an extended period, drain all water out of fresh water tank, and hot water tank, and blow line out with air, using no more than 40 psi.................
