I need to replace the Electronic Interface Module (EIM) on my boat. I am aware that I must replace the complete system because the original EIM is no longer available. What I have discovered thus far is that there is a replacement system that uses Carling switches with circuit breakers and there are systems available that uses a EIM. Which would be better long term and why?

Thanks for the reference posts. I need to invest in something new; I need help in understanding I should go with a system that uses standard switches or a system that uses an Electronic Interface Module. Does one has advantage over the other?

Yes - go with the FP retrofit system - you never have to worry about that obsolete system crapping out on you again
